Massotherapy in Montreal

With 10 years of experience in Montreal, our team includes 1 yoga instructor who is also a massage therapist: Audrey. Her in-depth knowledge of anatomy, posture and biomechanics enables her to adapt her massage therapy techniques to the specific needs of each individual.

One of the key features of Studio Équilibre's expertise lies in our massage therapist Audrey's ability to tailor each session to the individual needs and preferences of their clients. She carries out a thorough initial assessment to understand each person's specific problems, pains and goals, in order to create a tailor-made treatment plan.

Massages on offer

Massotherapy has many health benefits. Depending on technique and application, massage can provide deep relaxation or relieve pain. There are two types of massage therapy treatment: relaxation and therapeutic.

Depending on the technique, the massage may involve various maneuvers such as effleurage, kneading, friction, percussion and vibration. It can be performed with or without oil. If required, the treatment can be accompanied by essential oils, anti-inflammatory ointments, thermotherapy, hydrotherapy or wraps.

Swedish relaxation massage

With slow, soothing movements that relax the nervous system, Swedish massage also gently relieves muscular tension (with or without essential oils).

Kinetic Swedish massage

A progressive approach to the different parts of the body, accompanied by movements of body segments and limbs.

Therapeutic massage, strong pressure

A more dynamic treatment, focusing on joint and muscle pain, with stronger pressure. You can opt for a full-body massage or focus on a specific area, such as the back.

Lomi Lomi (hawaïen massage )

Therapeutic or relaxation treatment, mainly using the elbows.

Hot shell massage

Care with porcelain shells, the shells are heated - ideal for relaxation, but also for inflammatory muscle pain that reacts to heat.

Post-natal massage

Swedish or therapeutic treatment, focusing on specific post-pregnancy needs (work on fatigue, the nervous system and muscular pain).

The benefits of Massotherapy

The benefits of Massotherapy

Pain relief

Massage can help reduce pain by relaxing tense muscles and stimulating the production of natural chemicals that act as analgesics.

Stress reduction

Massage can help reduce stress levels by lowering stress hormones such as cortisol and increasing the production of relaxing hormones such as oxytocin.

Improving traffic flow

Massages can help improve blood circulation by stimulating the flow of body fluids, which can help eliminate toxins and improve organ function.

Improved flexibility

Massages can help improve flexibility and range of motion by loosening tight muscles and improving blood flow to the muscles.
