A NEW BREATH FOR YOUR BACK AND POSTURE

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26 FROM 2 PM TO 4 PM

This workshop is designed around two main themes: harmonious and effective breathing, and spinal health for improved posture. Breathing and the spine are closely linked anatomically—working on one promotes the well-being of the other, and vice versa.

Throughout this series, we will not only focus on mobilizing and strengthening the breath but also on deep spinal stretches using ELDOA techniques. We will also practice exercises aimed at opening the rib cage, with the constant goal of improving both breathing and posture.

The session will conclude with specific conscious breathing exercises, followed by deep relaxation and an integration phase. This approach will encourage you to incorporate these practices into your daily routine, with the hope that they will contribute to long-term improvements in your well-being.

Work on breathing capacity

The breathing exercises performed during the workshop help develop deeper and more conscious breathing. This not only improves tissue oxygenation but also increases lung capacity, thereby helping to reduce stress and enhance physical performance. By learning to better control your breath, you optimize endurance and support the body during prolonged efforts.

Strengthen and loosen the joints of the spine

In this workshop, you will work on the joints of the spine, from the neck to the lower back. This helps prevent back pain and improves overall posture. The focus is on mobility, flexibility, and the health of the vertebrae, thus promoting better range of motion and reducing tensions related to poor posture or muscular imbalances.

Connection between posture/ breathing and deep relaxation

By combining breathing techniques with specific postures, this workshop creates a strong link between physical stability and the release of mental tension. This synergy enhances body awareness and helps achieve a state of deep relaxation, promoting optimal recovery and increased mental well-being.

Be guided by Sébastien Zappa

Sébastien Zappa, PhD, has been teaching conscious breathing and cold exposure since 2018. He became interested in these practices while looking for solutions to recurring depressive episodes and chronic fatigue.

His teachings are mainly based on the REBO2T, Oxygen Advantage and Wim Hof methods, which he was taught by their founders.

He is also certified in SomaTraining/ELDOA, the stretching techniques of which combine perfectly with respiratory training.

A scientist by profession, he offers a reasonable and accessible approach to anyone wishing to improve their quality of life.
