I have always had a passion for sports and dance. In 2004, I earned my degree as a sports instructor in Paris and gained experience as a fitness instructor and personal trainer.
In 2008, I obtained my diploma as a teacher and professional dancer in Latin and Afro-Caribbean dances, also in Paris. That same year, I discovered Pilates. Although I had already gained solid experience and skills in body movement and health, Pilates brought a whole new dimension to my practice.
In 2010, I trained at the Set Pilates school in Paris and became certified in Mat Pilates, Reformer, and Cadillac. Since Pilates is inspired by yoga, my interest in this discipline grew. I then traveled to Nepal to obtain my yoga teacher certification from the Yogi-Nomad school. Yoga postures are closely linked to movements and approaches from Thai massage, which led me to Chiang Mai, in northern Thailand, where I completed all five levels of certification as a massage therapist.
My last stop was Quebec, specifically Montreal, which I immediately fell in love with! There, I met Ann McMillan, a renowned Pilates trainer in Quebec and the United States. Inspired by her teachings, I decided to complete all her training courses. Later, I refined my Hatha Yoga practice and deepened my knowledge of anatomy under the guidance of my mentor Hervé Blondon, founder of the Satyam School. I know I will continue learning throughout my life. As Gandhi said: “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” Currently, I am pursuing yoga and meditation training with François Lacerte.
In Quebec, I had the opportunity to open my own Pilates and yoga studio, where I offer activities related to my passions: movement, dance, wellness, balance, and health. My goal is to continue sharing these passions with those who are inspired by them, while continuing my own learning journey alongside them.
Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Dance from the Université du Québec à Montréal in 1996 (Interpretation and Creation), Eve has pursued a career in dance, both as a performer and rehearsal director. For 20 years, she primarily collaborated with the company Danse Carpe Diem\Emmanuel Jouthe.
In May 2006, she received her Pilates instructor certification after completing her training with Ann McMillan. Passionate about movement, her years of experience in dance and teaching Pilates have enabled her to develop a keen understanding of the human body, as well as the ability to communicate “the art of movement” with nuance and clarity, ensuring safety.
Over the years, Eve has participated in numerous Pilates workshops to continually improve her approach and share her latest discoveries with her clients.
Active within the artistic community, her areas of expertise include drama, dance, singing, and choreography. She possesses various tools to offer you an experience tailored to your needs.
Roberta offers an approach that respects each individual’s limits. In her classes, she will guide you towards a more intuitive awareness of your body and invite you to explore the postures in a safe environment. Dare to be guided by the present moment, and you will witness both physical and energetic changes unfold.
A colorful, joyful, and vibrant woman who loves life and seeks to nurture it, particularly during the early stages of life (pregnancy, birth, and early childhood).
She felt the calling to animate Life around the age of 35! It was the reading of a book on haptonomy — the science of affectivity — that connected her with her true calling. This marked a turning point in her life, leading her to leave the field of international marketing and embark on her new path… the path of birth.
She also felt drawn to Quebec to pursue this new journey and moved from France in 2007. A woman close to nature and with a love for adventure.
Since 2009, Justine has been guiding couples through the birth of their child with harmony and respect for the natural human needs present during the sacred passage of birth. She has supported hundreds of couples during childbirth, both in hospitals and birthing centers, where she assisted midwives for 8 years. Justine has channeled all her energy, determination, commitment, joy of life, love, and passion into becoming a well-recognized birth companion, specializing in haptonomy.
Her mission is to inspire parents regarding the physical, emotional, and energetic needs of the fetus and newborn, in order to foster healthy and harmonious development for their child.
A great enthusiast of sports and all forms of art, Éric initially studied hospitality, then art and fitness. He discovered Pilates and its benefits as part of his personal training.
Certified STOTT PILATES instructor since 2008, he teaches this method with dedication and dynamism, easily adapting to both female and male clientele. He has also developed a personalized coaching program tailored to the specific needs of each individual. Éric pays special attention to each participant to adjust his teaching accordingly.
In addition to being an instructor, he is a professional drummer and percussionist, notably with the group JamesParker, and in his spare time, he practices several sports, including skiing, long-distance rollerblading, climbing, and scuba diving.
Tika grew up in Ottawa and became a movement enthusiast at a very young age. She started her yoga practice at the age of 16. Since then, movement and the practice of breathing have been constant elements in her life.
In 2003, Tika completed training to become a Hatha yoga instructor. She specializes in craniosacral therapy and also works on myofascial release.
In 2010, she trained with Polestar Pilates to gain a better understanding of the human body and its connection to the mind. Following this training, Tika began teaching group classes in mat Pilates and Reformer Pilates. She also works with private clients, often dealing with various physical conditions.
Tika loves sharing her knowledge with her clients, enabling them to breathe well and move intelligently so they can connect with their bodies.
Outside the studio, Tika enjoys being in nature, being creative, singing, and dancing. She loves Indian food and playing with children and cats.
A Frenchwoman who has been living in Montreal for nearly 7 years, I am an eternal optimist and a sports enthusiast. I worked for several years in project management in various companies before embarking on a professional transition into wellness and health.
Having practiced Pilates for many years, I have experienced the benefits of this quiet strength. Pilates quickly became the perfect complement to my athletic practice and active lifestyle. This motivated me to deepen my understanding and obtain my Pilates instructor certification.
I have been teaching classes since 2021, and I continue to train, as I believe it is essential to stay fit and healthy at any age. I view physical exercise as part of a good lifestyle rather than a chore.
Trainer and instructor in Pilates, PMA (Pilates Method Alliance) certified, and certified instructor in therapeutic Pilates on equipment.

Bonnie has been teaching Pilates since 2007 and has held her full STOTT Pilates instructor certification since 2010.
Pilates has always been an integral part of her career as a ballerina, helping her maintain good body balance.
Bonnie is an experienced instructor who has taught and developed training programs for a diverse range of clients dealing with various types of injuries or limitations.
She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology from Concordia University, allowing her to incorporate exercise and movement for individuals living with chronic conditions such as osteoporosis, Parkinson’s disease, or cardiovascular diseases.

First a professional dancer, then a marathon runner, windsurfer, and cyclist conquering mountain passes… Mastering a physical discipline and breath has always been a part of my daily life.
I am among the first graduates of the 200-hour RYT Ashtanga Vinyasa teacher training with Isabella Light. I subsequently completed Iyengar/Hatha yoga training with Hart Lazer and Donna Read. More recently, I completed a 40-hour RYT Yin yoga workshop, as well as a 100-hour ATT training at Wanderlust, followed by a 300-hour Hatha-Iyengar training with Hart Lazer in September 2021.
Seeking the ideal alignment to embody the asanas, eliminate tension, and develop control and quality of breath is the foundation of my teaching. I began teaching yoga during my retirement after a career in television production. This new passion represents a second career and a new lifestyle that I share with my students.
In 2013, I obtained my certification as a fitness coach (Can Fit Pro), followed by my certification in mat Pilates.
I truly discovered my passion when I started taking Reformer Pilates classes. It was only natural that I decided to pursue Stott training for Reformer Pilates.
Today, I have been teaching this method for nearly 4 years. It is a discipline I recommend for a strong and balanced body at any age.
My journey with yoga began in 2017 when I discovered a whole new universe. After enduring heel inflammation for years, yoga allowed me to heal. Since then, it has become an integral part of my daily routine. It has taught me patience, self-respect, and acceptance of who I am. For me, yoga represents an endless opportunity for personal growth that I wish to share with others.
In 2018, I completed my training at the Mandala studio, specializing in Ashtanga. Since then, I have had the opportunity to teach yoga in Hungary and France, benefiting from the many experiences I have accumulated with yogis from around the world. More recently, I moved to Canada in 2022 to pursue a PhD in psychology and to share my knowledge as a yoga teacher on this side of the globe.
As a future psychologist, maintaining physical and mental well-being is particularly important to me. In my classes, I guide you through a flowing sequence aimed at discovering the joy and harmony that reside within you. Drawing on the principles of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, we explore our inner strength through a series of movements. The program includes breathing techniques, a dynamic flow, and a guided meditation to conclude the session, all awaiting you if you choose to join my classes.
Passionate about anatomy and movement since always, Anabel transitioned from a career in dance to the health field, completing her studies in osteopathy at the Collège d’Études Ostéopathiques de Montréal.
Since graduating in 2021, she has pursued several postgraduate training programs in osteopathy on various topics, ranging from women’s health to fascial chain treatment. She also attends prosection workshops led by anatomist and osteopath Gabriel Venne at McGill’s anatomy lab. She practices osteopathy at Spinal Mouvement and at the 801 clinic.
In search of new tools to help her clients, she obtained her certification as a mat Pilates instructor in 2023 from Ann McMillan and joined the team at Studio Équilibre. She believes that Pilates is a wonderful approach to relieve musculoskeletal pain and relearn how to move more effectively.
French, living in Montreal for the past 8 months, I am in charge of communication and marketing at Studio Équilibre. I started my academic journey with a Professional Sales Diploma, followed by a BTS in Management.
I then decided to take a gap year, during which I traveled through 10 European countries with a friend. This journey taught me a lot about myself, and upon returning, I decided to resume my studies.
I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, followed by a Master’s in Digital Communication. With my degrees in hand and the Covid crisis subsiding, I decided to try my luck in Montreal.
Being active my whole life, I’ve practiced various sports from childhood into adulthood: athletics, tennis, hip-hop, fitness, pilates, etc. I was captivated by the concept of Studio Équilibre, and so it was only natural for me to apply for the role of managing communication and marketing. :)
Originally from the south of France, I have been passionate about sports since childhood. Dance, handball, tennis, running, surfing… every opportunity is a chance for me to move and stay active.
During my preparation for a sports competition, I discovered yoga as a form of “recovery.” After experiencing significant injuries that forced me to rest, I took the path of yoga and have never looked back.
Curious to deepen my practice and newly arrived in Canada, I decided in 2021 to train alongside Sylvie Tremblay at Yoga Sangha studio in Montreal. Very quickly, I felt the desire to share my passion through teaching and to help my students feel better in their bodies and minds.
Through my flows, which are as rhythmic as the ocean (and always with a friendly spirit), I aim to share all the warmth, lightness, and benefits of yoga. Convinced that yoga is accessible to everyone, regardless of age or life experience, my greatest reward is seeing my students feel good at the end of a class. The students in my classes are a true source of learning and inspiration for me.
More than just a form of exercise, yoga has been for Caroline, for over six years, an opportunity to live each moment with awareness and to ensure her autonomy on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels. Caroline completed her certification in Hatha and Vinyasa yoga teaching at the Yoga Sangha center in 2022 under Sylvie Tremblay. She continues to deepen her skills in complementary fields with advanced training in meditation, yoga therapy, yin yoga, and prenatal and postnatal yoga. All these areas are tools for developing self-awareness and discovering a path of inner transformation and healing at all levels of being.
Caroline aspires to help people relax, reconnect with their bodies and breath, sometimes push their limits, but most importantly, find themselves according to their needs, expectations, and physical condition. Inspired by the valuable teachings she receives, she decides to fully commit to her practice and share it with as many people as possible, with simplicity and connection.
Her teachings in sound therapy and energy healing also allow her to combine the “medicine” of vibrations with the yogic practice based on the body and mind.
Maudaline earned a degree in “Speech Science” from the Conservatoire Lassalle in Montreal. After her studies and numerous dance training sessions at various schools, such as the National Ballet School of Toronto, Concordia University, the Eddy Toussaint Ballet School, and the ADMMI, Maudaline obtained a diploma as a technician in modern dance from the École de Danse Contemporaine de Montréal (then known as LADMMI).
Maudaline danced professionally for ten years with several independent choreographers, including Florence Figols, Marie Pasquale Bélanger, and Karina Iraola, and participated in the choreographic seminar of José Navas (Cie Flak). She was notably engaged with several Montreal dance companies, including Van Grimde Corps secrets, Le fils d’Hadrien danse, Cirque Éloize, Le Carré des Lombes, and the Cie Marie Chouinard. She has performed on various North American, European, and Asian stages during international tours.
In 2008, thanks to a grant from the CRTD, she taught the Gymnastique sur table TCP method for 7 years and then created her own method of postural gymnastics on the floor (GPS Maudaline).
Maudaline has offered contemporary dance classes at Studio 303, in addition to teaching urban dances to youth in after-school programs. She also taught ballet and world dances at the National Theatre School of Canada as an assistant to Madame Thérèse Cadrin Petit. She also engages in flashmob choreography. At 50 years old, and still a member of the Union des Artistes, Maudaline performed a solo on the stage of the Ottawa Historical Museum with choreography by Ricardo Bureos.
During the pandemic, she undertook training in “GDS Muscle Chains,” taught by kinesiologist Katia Lambert. Currently, Maudaline is pursuing training in Pilates equipment from AMP to better serve Studio Équilibre, where she has worked since 2016. She teaches at the Équilibre Hochelaga studio, where she innovates and develops the Pilates technique on Penchenat tables. You will also find her in mat Pilates and barre fitness classes. Additi
I have been a massage therapist since 2017, an herbalist since 2020, and I have been teaching yoga since 2022.
I have completed several training programs:
It is important for me to:
My favorite book is Goupil ou face by Lou Lubie. My favorite artist is Barbara Pravi. My favorite yoga pose is the iguana or the crocodile, as it is very restorative.
What challenges me the most right now is self-confidence. I am too much of a perfectionist, and I question myself far too often. I am also working on a principle of yoga: Ahimsa – non-violence. It is essential to honor oneself and to be gentle with oneself. Confidence will come afterward…
Pilates instructor, contemporary dancer, and natural helper, Lola O’Breham-Rondeau has been collaborating with Studio Équilibre since its creation in 2011. Initially a passionate movement researcher, she is interested in various forms of awareness and their relationship with the body, particularly in the context of chronic pain and sensitivity.
Lola obtained her Pilates instructor certification from Ann McMillan, first in mat Pilates in 2011 and then in reformer apparatus in 2015. Since then, she has specialized her practice in private lessons.
In the fall of 2022, she joined the faculty of the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal, teaching an anatomy course for dancers. In 2023, Lola completed a master’s degree in psychosocial practice studies at the Université du Québec à Rimouski.
Throughout her career, she has practiced various somatic techniques, such as the Franklin Method, yoga, and Essentrics. Lola continues to be amazed by the power of Qi-Gong, Gyrotonic, and Vipassana meditation. She firmly believes in listening, kindness, and the spark of playfulness that comes to life through balanced and instinctive training.
I was a dancer for 17 years, and I love moving my body in a comfortable, accessible, and stimulating way without causing any discomfort. I incorporate my barre training into every aspect of my life every day, and I can’t imagine what life was like before!
Both of my parents love Pilates and barre, and it’s an honor to share my knowledge with my clients and friends. When I attend a workout class, I look for something that challenges me both mentally and physically. With barre, I was able to see results in as little as 4 weeks, and I love being able to share the magic of barre at Studio Équilibre!
Yoga teacher and musician, Philippe is passionate about the correlation between sound, meditation, and consciousness. He studies traditional yoga under the guidance of Yogacharya Prahaladji at the Sivananda Ashram, where he is formally initiated into the Vedanta tradition.
He expands his knowledge by learning Yin Yoga with Mélanie Richards as part of a teacher training program. A lover of Indian classical music, Philippe has been taking Hindustani classical singing lessons since 2012. He is now continuing his studies in classical music and sound yoga with the Gundecha brothers, maestros of Dhrupad, a musical style recognized for its deep and meditative qualities.
In addition to teaching at various centers since 2013, Philippe leads kirtans, singing circles, meditation workshops, sound yoga, and Hatha yoga on the island of Montreal.
For over 15 years, Josée followed a diverse path that allowed her to explore various artistic and athletic fields. After the birth of her children, she fell in love with Pilates, which helped her regain the balance she was seeking.
Since then, she has chosen to devote all her energy to this discipline and has begun training to become a STOTT Pilates mat and Reformer instructor, as well as obtaining certification as a Total Barre instructor.
Pilates allows her to combine her passions for teaching and physical well-being, which she shares with her clients in a dynamic, positive, and enthusiastic manner.
Armelle continues her quest to excel in her practice of Essentrics™ as well as in her teaching. She felt an immediate affinity with this challenging discipline. In 2013, she didn’t hesitate for a second when the opportunity arose to train with the creator of the method, Miranda Esmonde-White. Armelle completed the Level 1 and 2 certifications to become a certified instructor in this discipline, which she had already been practicing for 4 years.
Passionate about movement and the human body, she aims to contribute to the well-being of her students and guide them toward a better quality of life. She loves sharing all aspects of the practice that promote physical well-being and encourage a balanced lifestyle.
In a bubble of serenity and well-being, you’ll leave with a renewed sense of vitality… and a desire to do it all over again! Let yourself be surprised by the movement of your body and the power of the Essentrics™ technique!
Stéphanie is a choreographer, performer, and teacher in contemporary dance. She graduated with distinction with a BFA in Contemporary Dance from Concordia University in 2004 and then earned a Master’s degree in Dance from UQAM in 2014, where she was honored with an academic excellence scholarship.
After completing her studies, she deepened her interest in yoga by completing a 500-hour certification at Naada Yoga in 2015.
Whether in yoga or dance, her classes aim to break habitual movement patterns and explore each person’s potential, all while ensuring safety and humility. Stéphanie has taught in Montreal, in the United States, where she is originally from, and around Paris, where she lived for five years. She has presented her choreographic work in Montreal, Toronto, New York, Paris, and Grenoble, and works as a performer for various Montreal-based choreographers.
I started dancing at the age of 12. It was love at first sight, a true revelation. I then decided to make it my profession! I completed a professional training program at Ballet Divertimento, where I earned my diploma.
In 2021, I decided to leave ballet to turn towards Latin dance. I am now part of the Alliance Dance Company, with which I participate in national and international competitions.
My passion for movement and rehabilitation in case of injury has always been present. While seeking ways to improve my athletic performance and prevent injuries, I discovered Pilates. It was yet another revelation! I decided to complete Ann McMillan’s training in 2023, and I am now certified.
Thanks to this training, I had the opportunity to discover Studio Équilibre and its amazing team, whom I love!
My goal is to continue learning and developing my skills so that I can share my knowledge and passion through my classes. :)
I have been practicing yoga for about eight years. I first discovered this discipline in Paris, in a tiny, overheated studio where the mats were tightly packed together. At the time, I didn’t yet know the full philosophy of yoga and practiced simply for the well-being it brought me.
When I arrived here in 2018, my practice deepened, and I began training to learn more about the world of yoga. Today, it is fully part of my daily life. I trained in Vinyasa Yoga in 2021 to deepen my knowledge, then in Yin and Nidra in 2023 to bring a gentler approach to my teaching. My classes combine movement fluidity, body and breath awareness, in creative flows that balance Yin and Yang.
Outside of yoga, I am trained in creating natural cosmetic products, and I am a certified aromatherapist. I offer workshops on product creation and advice on essential oils, which I sometimes like to include in my yoga classes.
Graduating in STOTT Pilates since 2016 and specializing in the reformer, Nicolas is passionate about postural analysis, considering Pilates to be the mathematics of movement.
A jack-of-all-trades in sports, it was in France that Nicolas discovered Pilates over ten years ago at the Authentic Pilates Studio in Metz, founded and run by his father, a former high-level athlete.
Involved in the sports community in Quebec, notably with the Quebec Association for the Blind, the Trisomy 21 Group, and AlterGo Montreal, Nicolas is convinced that Pilates contributes to individuals’ physical, mental, and social well-being. For him, health is not merely the absence of illness, but rather a complete state of well-being.
As Joseph Pilates himself said, “Change comes from movement, and movement heals.” From this perspective, regardless of your fitness level or athletic commitment, contrology—the original term for Pilates—opens the door to a higher level. In this regard, the reformer, an extraordinary machine, has a remarkable effect on the body.
Passionate about sports and movement since childhood, Geneviève began with artistic gymnastics for several years before turning to swimming. After the Quebec Games, she ended her competitive career but maintained her training in various ways over the years. Her encounter with Pilates in her early twenties marked a turning point, and she fell in love with it.
In 2009, she completed her first training to become an instructor with the classic Peak Pilates school, covering all the apparatus. Her insatiable thirst for knowledge about the body and movement led her to undertake a second training in 2011, this time with Polestar Pilates. In 2012, she obtained her TRX instructor certification, and in 2013, she continued with a new training in Hatha Yoga under the guidance of Marie-Daphné Roy and David Flewelling. She thus began teaching Pilates, yoga, Yogalates, and TRX, whether in groups or private sessions.
A few years later, eager to offer excellent service and continue deepening her skills, she pursued advanced yoga training with Hart Lazer in 2014. This training introduced her to a more therapeutic approach to yoga, perfectly aligned with the principles of Pilates.
Whether in group classes or individual sessions, Geneviève pays special attention to each student, ensuring that everyone feels well cared for and supported throughout their practice. She considers it a privilege to contribute to awakening body awareness and breath control in individuals. Her intention is to continue sharing her passion for many years to come while remaining constantly attuned to new discoveries and knowledge related to the functioning of the human body.
Calista is a fully certified Polestar/NPCP Pilates instructor (mat Pilates and reformer Pilates). In search of a remedy for her chronic back pain, resulting from a sedentary job, she tried everything, but it was Pilates that truly transformed her physically and provided her with mental satisfaction.
In 2017, she completed the “Polestar Pilates Instructor” training course in Hong Kong and became a certified Pilates instructor. After these years of teaching, she developed an interest in offering a wide variety of exercises to make her classes more comprehensive, allowing students to practice at home.
During her three years of volunteering in retirement homes in Ottawa, Calista learned to be a good listener for the “golden population” (Baby Boomers) and to respond precisely to their needs.
Upon completing the ISP (Injuries & Special Population) course by STOTT Pilates, Calista felt more confident and better equipped to take care of clients in their post-rehabilitation phase.
Calista is convinced that Pilates exercises strengthen the deeper intrinsic muscles of the core and improve overall body balance. She wishes to share her passion for the Pilates method with her students.
Passionate about dance, Vaiana began a dance-study program at a college in France. However, three years later, her journey had to be interrupted due to scoliosis. She then fully dedicated herself to her studies and obtained a master’s degree in tourism management. Subsequently, she worked in the hospitality industry in California, French Polynesia, and then in Paris.
In 2013, she decided to settle in Montreal, where, two years after her arrival, she discovered the Essentrics technique. She instantly fell in love with this therapeutic discipline created by Miranda Esmonde-White, a former ballerina with the Toronto Ballet who evolved into a sports coach. Essentrics helps to rebalance the entire body through dynamic stretching. The fluid movements contribute to lengthening and strengthening the muscles. This method plays an essential role in relieving pain, improving posture, and releasing joints.
Vaiana began an online training program to become an Essentrics instructor and obtained her Level 3 certification in 2020. After returning to her studies in 2021, she now works in the translation sector. She appreciates the balance that the practice of Essentrics brings her alongside her career as a translator.
Dietitian-nutritionist specializing in sports and pediatrics since 2014, I chose to combine nutrition and sports, two fields that I consider highly complementary. This led me to become a fitness coach in 2016 in Bordeaux, where I developed my fitness classes while continuing my private nutrition consultations.
I discovered Pilates in 2018 and decided to train as a Pilates instructor, working with sports associations, Pilates studios, and companies. I then worked as a dietitian-nutritionist and Pilates instructor at Medical Stadium, a sports health center open to all patients, whether or not they are physically active, from amateurs to professionals.
Pilates is a sports-health tool that strengthens all muscle groups in the body and perfectly complements other sports disciplines. Passionate about sports and practicing running, swimming, and surfing, I regularly incorporate Pilates as a well-being and health therapy for healthy aging.
In 2024, my partner and I decided to embark on the Canadian adventure and settle in Montreal, where I hope to continue my training and practice in Pilates while sharing my passions and knowledge in nutrition.
In love with the art of movement, Simon Vermeulen is pursuing a professional career in dance at the Montreal Contemporary Dance School, where Pilates is taught to enhance performance and prevent injuries. Aiming to share his passion for the constant search for balance between strength and flexibility, he certifies with Ann McMillan Pilates for both mat and apparatus, and then with Spinal Movement. Samya has always loved studying and analyzing movement. Passionate about dance, she completed professional training in dance at a young age. Later, she discovered yoga, which she has been practicing for over ten years. Her growing interest in this practice led her to study yoga at the Wanderlust studio (now Mile-End studio).
After an injury, she discovered Pilates and its benefits. Eager to deepen her knowledge, she pursued teacher training in Pilates at AMP. She loves sharing her passion for Pilates and movement through her teaching.
Introduced to yoga nearly 10 years ago, Layane completed a 200-hour training at Angie Yoga in Montreal in 2019, simply to deepen her personal practice. Enthralled by the experience, she became a part-time yoga instructor during her doctoral studies in molecular biology at the Université de Montréal.
In 2023, Layane embarked on an advanced 300-hour Hatha yoga training, followed by an Ashtanga immersion with Master Chidananda in India. She also trained in pranayama with the great guru BNS Iyengar, the last living disciple of Sri Krishnamacharya, and in sound healing with Master Siddha.
Driven by a passion for lifelong learning and the development of body and mind, Layane also completed PiYo training with Caroline Rollin in Montreal. Today, she shares her expertise and passion through classes where she brings her knowledge and dedication to each student!
Practicing Pilates regularly for over 15 years, Josiane has chosen to train in order to share her passion for this discipline. Passionate about movement and well-being, she believes that a healthy and enjoyable lifestyle is within everyone’s reach. Her classes are accessible, dynamic, and nurturing, focusing on strength, mobility, coordination, and body awareness.
She holds a certification in mat and reformer Pilates from the Ann McMillan Pilates method. She is also trained as a fitness instructor by YMCA Canada. Additionally, she works independently as a consultant in the management of artistic, cultural, and social projects.
I am Isabelle, an Acadian from New Brunswick who moved to Montreal 10 years ago to pursue a master’s degree in social work. My work aims to influence policies to improve the quality of life and well-being of marginalized people, guided by the principles of harm reduction, meeting people where they are, and centering their lived experience.
I discovered Reformer Pilates at Studio Équilibre in 2016, and I have remained dedicated to both the practice and the studio ever since. The focus on the mind-body connection has helped me stay balanced and focused. For me, Pilates is a true therapy for both body and mind, and I find the method incredibly restorative. In the spring of 2024, I completed the Reformer training with Ann McMillan to deepen my practice and dive into the wonderful world of teaching.
The path that led me to become an instructor was unexpected, but I can easily draw parallels between my approach in social work and in teaching. I strongly believe in Pilates’ ability to improve the quality of life by meeting people where they are. My goal is to provide a safe and inclusive space where everyone can find joy in movement and leave the class feeling strong and revitalized. I look forward to seeing you on the Reformer!
Némia has an extensive background in public education and shows a heightened sensitivity to everything related to mental and physical well-being, the art of movement, and the breath that guides it. Trained in Hatha Yoga, Hatha Flow, Vinyasa, and Yoga Nidra, along with a foundation in amateur contemporary dance, she brings a wealth of experience in various styles of classes.
With her many years of experience in specialized education, she knows how to adapt her classes to the needs of her participants. Starting from the principle that every body has its own story and is guided by the breath, she compassionately offers classes that allow reconnection with this life force, here and now.
Circulating the breath through the physical and mental body, allowing oneself to create space within to better savor what unfolds, and thereby finding balance and inner peace… these are the core themes of the classes she offers.
With a jovial, empathetic, dynamic, and caring nature, she joins the Studio Vert Prana team with great joy, love, and gratitude.
See you soon on the mat! Namaste.

Virginie put on her first pink ballet shoes at the age of three at the studios of the Salle Pleyel in Paris. She started with classical ballet (Stanlova, Tessa Beaumont’s classes) before turning to modern jazz at the Jazz Dance Academy.
In her twenties, she assisted her godfather (a choreographer and dancer) by teaching jazz classes to teenagers and choreographing pieces for various shows.
She moved to Quebec at 27 to work with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal. Her role was to collaborate on the development of activities at the National Center for Dance Therapy.
Later, Virginie returned to her studies in bioethics at the School of Public Health at the University of Montreal. During her studies, she became a student again at various dance studios, including Studio Équilibre. Virginie discovered Patricia’s barre fitness classes, and it was love at first sight! She found the perfect opportunity to combine ballet training techniques and floor barre with muscle strengthening and work on coordination, mobility, flexibility… with a touch of grace! She then decided to teach this discipline. Attentive to her students, she emphasizes posture and movement precision, all while maintaining a cheerful atmosphere.
I discovered yoga during a long, somewhat foggy period of my life. Like an unexpected path, this discipline turned out to be the ideal tool for taking necessary action on various problematic aspects of my life.
Meeting my teacher, Swami Premananda Saraswati, was pivotal in my journey, and I will be eternally grateful to him.
I was trained in classical hatha yoga and initiated into the tradition of Himalayan tantra. Inspired by the great tradition of master and disciple, it is mainly through him and his teachings that I practiced, deepened my knowledge, and evolved within the world of yoga.
Additionally, I studied meditation and philosophy at a Tibetan Buddhism school. Several years of dedicated practice and over a thousand hours of specialized training in yoga and meditation completely transformed me and led me on a much more enriching path than I could have ever imagined.
The profession of teacher, which I have practiced for over 10 years, and then that of trainer, gradually developed throughout my journey.
I have been a level 3 Pilates instructor and a level 1 Stretching Canada instructor for over sixteen years. I received my training at Polestar Pilates, completing the full program (mat, reformer, chair, Cadillac, tower, and barrel).
Several years ago, I suffered from chronic back pain, and it was my mother who one day told me about Pilates. She had already been practicing it for some time. I immediately fell in love with the method and its benefits.
Today, time has passed, and my passion for teaching Pilates is still alive. My goal for each class is to share this passion with a touch of humor and lightness.
Before my love for Pilates developed, I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from Concordia University. My interest in the arts is still present, and I occasionally accept illustration contracts.
My journey began unexpectedly during my very first class in 2007, where I didn’t really understand what I was doing there; I didn’t grasp the language or the conventions of a yoga class. But amid this uncertainty, a little something ignited within me—a spark, a sense of well-being that I had never felt before. This experience brought me back to the mat again and again, awakening a passion in me that has never left.
I started my training in 2020 and have had the privilege of teaching since then. Holding an RYT 500 certification, I have studied with world-renowned teachers such as Michelle Young and Ana Pilar. My commitment to yoga is strengthened by ongoing education, including diplomas in advanced anatomy and physiology as well as foundations of meditation. Currently, I am pursuing training in pranayama to further deepen my skills.
Ayurveda also plays a central role in my practice and teaching, offering a holistic approach that nourishes both body and mind. Yoga has been a true lifeline for me, an essential anchor that has preserved my mental health during times when I needed it most.
In my classes, breath becomes an anchor, movement a language, and presence a key to discovering inner peace. I deeply believe that yoga has the power to transform our lives, reconnect us to our essence, and remind us that peace and joy are within reach, here and now.
I have been a dance instructor for over 20 years (in France and Quebec), trained in floor barre (both modern and classical), which I have been teaching for about fifteen years.
I am also a MUNZ FLOOR® certified coach through MAISON MUNZ since 2021, an innovative method known in Europe that is beginning to develop in Quebec. The class takes place on the floor and consists of slow, spiraled micro-movements that mobilize the crossed chains and act as a “massage” on the fascia. The movements release muscle, nerve, and joint tensions, and most participants feel a sense of well-being from the very first session.
