A studio filled with light and energy
This large studio will have three beautiful rooms. You can practice Pilates Reformer as well as mat Pilates and Motr, Barre Fitness, Pilates Circuit, Essentrics, and the full range of classes offered by Équilibre.

The studio is conveniently located at 426 Victoria Avenue, known for its pleasant shops and its calm and cozy atmosphere. Parking is easy.

Mat Pilates

Pilates mat work, also known as Pilates mat or traditional Pilates mat work, is a method of physical exercise practised standing on a mat. Pilates is a form of fitness developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century. The method focuses on strengthening the deep muscles of the trunk, enhancing spinal mobility and developing body awareness.

Here are the benefits of Mat Pilates:

  • Strengthens postural muscles: We work all the major muscle chains of the body, from proximal to discal (from the center of the abdominals to the extremities of the body). Postural muscles become stronger and more solid to support us in everyday life.
  • Improves mobility: Pilates focuses on spinal mobility through control of the abdominal core (also known as the “power house”). As Joseph Pilates said: “Do Pilates to have a spine as strong as a Greek spine and as flexible as a cat’s”.
  • Develops body awareness: all Pilates exercises, guided by our breaths, are performed slowly, with control and fluidity. The instructor feeds his students precious details about the human body, so they can set off on a journey of self-discovery. At the end of a Pilates class, we often feel lighter, taller and energized!

Circuit Pilates

This 75-minute class gives you the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the most sophisticated Pilates equipment, usually reserved for private sessions. You’ll discover : The Cadillac, The Reformer + Tower, The Jumpboard, The Pilates Chair, The Ladder Barrel, The Baby Arc…

Limited to 10 participants, each will have the opportunity to practice a specific exercise on each station for approximately two minutes, with 15 seconds allocated for changing stations. The course comprises three rounds. Good general physical condition is required.

The instructor will demonstrate and explain each exercise at the beginning of the session, offering variations to adjust the difficulty according to your level. Throughout the class, he’ll accompany you, correcting your movements and offering advice on how to optimize your practice.

Please bring a water bottle to keep hydrated, and a towel to put on the machine for exercise.
It is strongly recommended that you have taken a Reformer introductory course before coming to the Pilates circuit.

Here are the benefits of Pilates Circuit training:

Strengthening of postural muscles: This class targets all major muscle groups. Postural muscles thus become stronger and more robust, providing essential support in everyday life.

Improvement of posture: The various Pilates exercises, performed on different machines, strengthen the back muscles and the spine. This helps to improve your posture and body stability.

Increase in mobility: Pilates places a special emphasis on spinal mobility by engaging the body’s core (the abdominals, also known as the “Power House”).

Better understanding of Pilates: Through Pilates Circuit training, you will not only learn how to use machines typically reserved for private classes, but you will also become familiar with their operation and the specific vocabulary of Pilates.
