Every Monday, two levels are offered — Beginner and Intermediate — allowing participants to discover social dance or deepen their foundations in a structured, musical, and welcoming environment.
The Boogie Factory is a Montreal-based social dance school and community that helps people rediscover partner dances set to retro rhythms.
To the sound of boogie woogie, rock’n’roll, rhythm & blues, and soul, our classes and social dance events celebrate musicality, freedom of movement, and the joy of dancing together. We aim to create spaces where people can disconnect from daily life, express themselves, and fully experience the energy and richness of this music.
Boogie Woogie – Beginner
An accessible workshop designed to introduce Boogie Woogie or strengthen the basics.
Each week, the fundamentals are explored in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
Structure:
- 10 min: warm-up, social dancing, basic steps
- 60 min: learning fundamental movements
You can join at any time during the session.
Boogie Woogie – Intermediate
Designed for dancers who already have a foundation in Boogie Woogie or Lindy Hop.
Each class explores a specific theme to develop fluidity, musicality, and freedom of movement.
Structure:
- 10 min: solo warm-up, social dancing, technical review
- 60 min: variations, musicality, and movement exploration
