In 2008, I obtained my diploma as a teacher and professional dancer in Latin and Afro-Caribbean dances, also in Paris. That same year, I discovered Pilates. Although I had already gained solid experience and skills in body movement and health, Pilates brought a whole new dimension to my practice.
In 2010, I trained at the Set Pilates school in Paris and became certified in Mat Pilates, Reformer, and Cadillac. Since Pilates is inspired by yoga, my interest in this discipline grew. I then traveled to Nepal to obtain my yoga teacher certification from the Yogi-Nomad school. Yoga postures are closely linked to movements and approaches from Thai massage, which led me to Chiang Mai, in northern Thailand, where I completed all five levels of certification as a massage therapist.
My last stop was Quebec, specifically Montreal, which I immediately fell in love with! There, I met Ann McMillan, a renowned Pilates trainer in Quebec and the United States. Inspired by her teachings, I decided to complete all her training courses. Later, I refined my Hatha Yoga practice and deepened my knowledge of anatomy under the guidance of my mentor Hervé Blondon, founder of the Satyam School. I know I will continue learning throughout my life. As Gandhi said: “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” Currently, I am pursuing yoga and meditation training with François Lacerte.
In Quebec, I had the opportunity to open my own Pilates and yoga studio, where I offer activities related to my passions: movement, dance, wellness, balance, and health. My goal is to continue sharing these passions with those who are inspired by them, while continuing my own learning journey alongside them.
Lucile worked for several years in project management in various companies before embarking on a career change in wellness and health. In 2020, she took her first training course to become an instructor with Ann McMillan. Her thirst for knowledge about the body and movement led her to take a second training course with Ann McMillan in 2022, covering all the equipment. She now devotes all her energy and passion to teaching this discipline and sharing it with her clients every day. Her desire is to create a space where everyone can enjoy moving and leave feeling strong and energized.
Tika grew up in Ottawa and became a movement enthusiast at a very young age. She started her yoga practice at the age of 16. Since then, movement and the practice of breathing have been constant elements in her life.
In 2003, Tika completed training to become a Hatha yoga instructor. She specializes in craniosacral therapy and also works on myofascial release.
In 2010, she trained with Polestar Pilates to gain a better understanding of the human body and its connection to the mind. Following this training, Tika began teaching group classes in mat Pilates and Reformer Pilates. She also works with private clients, often dealing with various physical conditions.
Tika loves sharing her knowledge with her clients, enabling them to breathe well and move intelligently so they can connect with their bodies.
Outside the studio, Tika enjoys being in nature, being creative, singing, and dancing. She loves Indian food and playing with children and cats.
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in dance from the Université du Québec à Montréal in 1996 (performance-creation), Eve pursued a career in dance, both as a performer and a rehearsal director. She worked primarily with the Danse Carpe Diem/Emmanuel Jouthe company for 20 years.
In May 2006, she received her Pilates instructor certification after completing her training with Ann McMillan. A lover of movement, her years spent practicing dance and teaching Pilates have given her a keen eye for the human body and an ability to communicate the “art of movement” with nuance and clarity in complete safety.
Over the years, Eve has also participated in several Pilates development workshops, with the constant goal of improving her approach and sharing her latest discoveries with her clients.
Active within the artistic community, her areas of expertise include drama, dance, singing, and choreography. She possesses various tools to offer you an experience tailored to your needs.
Roberta offers an approach that respects each individual’s limits. In her classes, she will guide you towards a more intuitive awareness of your body and invite you to explore the postures in a safe environment. Dare to be guided by the present moment, and you will witness both physical and energetic changes unfold.
Justine is a joyful and passionate woman, deeply connected to nature and eager to stimulate life, especially during pregnancy, birth, and early childhood. At age 35, she discovered haptonomy, which marked a turning point in her career. She left international marketing to devote herself to birth coaching, relocating to Quebec in 2007. Since 2009, she has been helping couples experience harmony and respect for natural needs during birth, whether in a hospital or birthing center, where she assisted midwives for eight years. Her approach, based on haptonomy, aims to respect the overall growth of the fetus and newborn, promoting healthy and harmonious development. Passionate about her work, she inspires parents to understand the physical, emotional, and energetic needs of their children for optimal development. She has named her mission: Naître & Être (Be Born & Be).
A great lover of sports and the arts of all kinds, Eric first studied hospitality, then art and physical fitness. He discovered Pilates and its benefits as part of his personal training. Pilates has always been an integral part of her career as a ballerina, helping her maintain good body balance. Bonnie is an experienced instructor who has taught and developed training programs for a wide variety of clients with different types of injuries or limitations. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology from Concordia University, allowing her to incorporate exercise and movement into the lives of people living with chronic conditions such as osteoporosis, Parkinson’s disease, and cardiovascular disease. Her passion is helping people achieve their lifestyle goals through exercise. She is also a certified member of the Quebec Federation of Kinesiologists.
First a professional dancer, then a marathon runner, windsurfer, and cyclist conquering mountain passes… Mastering physical discipline and breathing has always been part of my daily life.
I am part of the first cohort of the 200-hour Ashtanga Vinyasa RYT teacher training program with Isabella Light. I then took an Iyengar/Hatha yoga training course with Hart Lazer and Donna Read. More recently, I completed a 40-hour RYT internship in Yin yoga as well as a 100-hour ATT training course at Wanderlust, followed by a 300-hour Hatha-Iyengar training course with Hart Lazer in September 2021.
Seeking the ideal alignment to inhabit the asanas, eliminating all tension and developing control and quality of breath is the basis of my teaching. I started teaching yoga during my retirement, after a career in television production. This new passion is a second career for me and a new way of life that I pass on to my students.
In 2013, I obtained my certification as a fitness coach (Can Fit Pro), followed by my certification in mat Pilates.
I truly discovered my passion when I started taking Reformer Pilates classes. It was only natural that I decided to pursue Stott training for Reformer Pilates.
Today, I have been teaching this method for nearly 4 years. It is a discipline I recommend for a strong and balanced body at any age.
Maudaline earned a degree in “speech science” from the Lassalle Conservatory in Montreal. After her studies and numerous dance training courses at various schools, such as the National Ballet School of Canada, Concordia University, the Eddy Toussaint Ballet School, and ADMMI, Maudaline obtained a diploma in modern dance technique from the École de Danse Contemporaine de Montréal (LADMMI at the time).
Maudaline danced professionally for ten years with several independent choreographers, such as Florence Figols, Marie Pasquale Bélanger, and Karina Iraola, and participated in José Navas’ choreographic seminar (Cie Flak). She has been engaged by several Montreal dance companies, including Van Grimde Corps secrets, Le fils d’Hadrien danse, Cirque Éloize, Le Carré des Lombes, and Cie Marie Chouinard. She has danced on several North American, European, and Asian stages during international tours.
In 2008, thanks to a CRTD scholarship, she taught the TCP table gymnastics method for seven years and then created her own floor posture gymnastics method (GPS Maudaline).
Maudaline has taught contemporary dance classes at Studio 303, as well as teaching urban dance to young people in after-school programs. She has also taught ballet and world dance at the National Theatre School of Canada as an assistant to Thérèse Cadrin Petit. She also choreographs flash mobs. At 50 years old, and still a member of the Union des Artistes, Maudaline performed a solo on stage at the Ottawa Historical Museum with choreography by Ricardo Bureos.
During the pandemic, she undertook training in “GDS muscle chains” given by kinesiologist Katia Lambert. Maudaline is currently training in Pilates equipment with AMP in order to better serve Studio Équilibre, where she has been working since 2016. She teaches at Studio Équilibre Hochelaga, where she innovates and develops the Pilates technique on Penchenat tables. You will also find her teaching Pilates mat and “barre fitness” classes. In addition, Maudaline recently received her AMP certification in Pilates Reformer.
I started dancing at the age of 12. It was love at first sight, a revelation. I decided then and there to make it my profession! I trained professionally at Ballet Divertimento, where I earned my diploma.
In 2021, I decided to leave ballet and turn to Latin dance. I am now part of the Alliance Dance Company, with which I participate in national and international competitions.
My passion for movement and rehabilitation in the event of injury has always been there. It was while looking for ways to improve my athletic performance and prevent injuries that I discovered Pilates. It was another revelation! I then decided to take Ann McMillan’s Pilates mat training course in 2023, followed by Pilates Reformer training in 2024.
Thanks to these courses, I had the opportunity to discover Studio Équilibre and its exceptional team, whom I adore!

A graduate of the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal since May 2010, Lola O’Breham-Rondeau continues her career as a dance performer, collaborating with many emerging artists.
In June 2011, Lola obtained her Pilates mat instructor certification from Ann McMillan Pilates. Since then, she has taught at Victoria Halls (Westmount), the Fleur d’asphalte studio, and the UQAM sports center, in addition to filling in for numerous classes throughout Montreal. She has perfected her teaching skills by also offering private classes and specialized courses for professional dancers.
In addition to dance and Pilates, she explores various somatic techniques, such as Qi-Gong, yoga, the Franklin Method, and many others. Her knowledge of these methods and her anatomical understanding of the body in motion allow her to draw on this vast repertoire to offer a balanced and diverse training program.
I was a dancer for 17 years and I love to move my body in a comfortable, accessible, and stimulating way without causing discomfort.
I use my barre training every day in all aspects of my life, and I can’t imagine what life was like before!
Both my parents love Pilates and barre, and it’s an honor to share my knowledge with my clients and friends!
When I go to a workout class, I want something that challenges me mentally and, of course, physically. With barre, I’ve seen results in as little as 4 weeks, and I love being able to share the magic of barre at Studio Equilibre!
A yoga teacher and musician, Philippe is passionate about the correlation between sound, meditation, and consciousness. He learned traditional yoga under the guidance of Yogacharya Prahaladji at the Sivananda Ashram, where he was formally initiated into the Vedanta tradition. He enriched his practice by training in Yin Yoga with Mélanie Richards as part of a teacher training course.
A lover of Indian classical music, Philippe has been studying classical Hindustani singing since 2012. He is currently continuing his studies in classical music and sound yoga with the Gundecha brothers, masters of Dhrupad, a musical style renowned for its depth and meditative nature.
Since 2013, Philippe has been teaching at several centers on the island of Montreal. He also leads Kirtans and singing circles, as well as workshops on meditation, sound yoga, and Hatha yoga.
Josée has followed a varied career path, exploring several artistic and athletic fields for over 15 years. After the birth of her children, she discovered Pilates, which helped her regain her desired balance. Since then, she has chosen to devote herself entirely to this discipline and has trained to become a STOTT Pilates instructor, both on the floor and on the Reformer, as well as becoming certified in Total Barre. Pilates allows her to combine her passion for teaching and physical well-being, which she conveys to her clients in a dynamic, positive, and enthusiastic manner.
Armelle continues her quest to achieve the maximum in her Essentrics practice and teaching. She felt an immediate affinity with the discipline and challenge that is Essentrics. In 2013, she didn’t hesitate for a moment when the opportunity arose to train with the creator of the method: Miranda Esmonde-White. Armelle completed Levels 1 and 2 training to become a certified instructor of this discipline, which she had already been practicing for four years.
She is particularly interested in the human body through movement. She wants to contribute to her students’ well-being and guide them toward a better quality of life. She enjoys sharing all aspects of the practice that encourage and promote physical well-being.
In a bubble of serenity and well-being, you will leave with a wonderful burst of energy… and the desire to do it again!
Passionate about sports and movement since childhood, Geneviève began artistic gymnastics for several years before turning to swimming. After the Quebec Games, she ended her competitive career but continued to train in various ways over the years. Her introduction to Pilates in her early twenties marked a turning point, and she fell in love with it.
In 2009, she took her first instructor training course with the Peak Pilates classical school, covering all the equipment. Her insatiable thirst for knowledge about the body and movement led her to undertake a second training course in 2011, this time with Polestar Pilates. In 2012, she obtained her TRX instructor certification, then in 2013, she continued with a new training course in Hatha Yoga.
Calista is a fully certified Polarstar/NPCP Pilates instructor (mat Pilates & Pilates reformer). In search of a remedy for her chronic back pain, resulting from sedentary work, she tried everything—but it was Pilates that truly transformed her physically and provided her with mental satisfaction.
In 2017, she took the Polestar Pilates Instructor training course in Hong Kong and became a certified Pilates instructor. After years of teaching, she found her passion in offering a wide variety of exercises to make the class more comprehensive so that students could practice at home.
During her three years of volunteering in retirement homes in Ottawa, Calista learned to be a good listener to the “golden generation” (Baby Boomers) and to respond precisely to their needs.
Passionate about dance, Vaiana began a dance-study program at a college in France. However, three years later, her journey had to be interrupted due to scoliosis. She then fully dedicated herself to her studies and obtained a master’s degree in tourism management. Subsequently, she worked in the hospitality industry in California, French Polynesia, and then in Paris.
In 2013, she decided to settle in Montreal, where, two years after her arrival, she discovered the Essentrics technique. She instantly fell in love with this therapeutic discipline created by Miranda Esmonde-White, a former ballerina with the Toronto Ballet who evolved into a sports coach. Essentrics helps to rebalance the entire body through dynamic stretching. The fluid movements contribute to lengthening and strengthening the muscles. This method plays an essential role in relieving pain, improving posture, and releasing joints.
Vaiana began an online training program to become an Essentrics instructor and obtained her Level 3 certification in 2020. After returning to her studies in 2021, she now works in the translation sector. She appreciates the balance that the practice of Essentrics brings her alongside her career as a translator.
As a dietitian-nutritionist specializing in sports and pediatrics since 2014, I chose to combine nutrition and sports, which I believe are highly complementary fields. That’s why I became a sports coach in 2016 in Bordeaux, where I developed my fitness classes while continuing my private dietary consultations.
I then discovered Pilates in 2018 and decided to train to become a Pilates instructor.
Passionate about sports and practicing running, swimming, and surfing, I regularly combine Pilates as a wellness and health therapy to age healthily. In 2024, my partner and I decided to try our luck in Canada and move to Montreal, where I hope to continue my training and practice Pilates, while sharing my passions and knowledge of nutrition.

In 2002, she incorporated yoga into her routine to better manage stress and maintain a healthy balance of body and mind. She relies heavily on integrative and alternative medicine for the prevention and maintenance of overall health. She uses aromatherapy in her daily life as well as in her yoga classes. In early 2024, she began studying Ayurveda and Reiki to gain more knowledge about optimal health and perfect her therapeutic and somatic approach.
With over 20 years of personal yoga practice, the pandemic was an opportunity for her to share her passion by giving online yoga sessions to her friends, family, and personal network. Post-pandemic, she continues to offer in-person classes in private and semi-private settings. In order to deepen her practice and with the goal of teaching in local and international yoga studios, she is pursuing her yoga teacher certification.
She is currently undergoing intensive and immersive training (YTT 200H) in Isla Mujeres, Mexico, to become certified to teach Hatha and Vinyasa yoga. Having danced for over 15 years, she has a penchant for creating fluid and dynamic yoga sequences using background music to enrich the experience. Always with well-being in mind, she enjoys creating themed practices aimed at balancing the Chakras, stimulating the Nadis, and balancing the nervous system. She also enjoys Yin and Restorative yoga, pranayama, and meditation.
Sound therapy is an approach she would like to integrate into her yoga teaching and she plans to eventually take a training course in Crystal Singing Bowls.
Samya has always loved studying and analyzing movement. Passionate about dance, she completed professional training in dance at a young age. Later, she discovered yoga, which she has been practicing for over ten years. Her growing interest in this practice led her to study yoga at the Wanderlust studio (now Mile-End studio).
After an injury, she discovered Pilates and its benefits. Eager to deepen her knowledge, she pursued teacher training in Pilates at AMP. She loves sharing her passion for Pilates and movement through her teaching.
Introduced to yoga nearly 10 years ago, in 2019 Layane completed a 200-hour training course at Angie Yoga in Montreal, simply because she wanted to deepen her personal practice. Having practiced Pilates regularly for over 15 years, Josiane decided to train as an instructor so she could share her passion for this discipline. Passionate about movement and wellness, she believes that a healthy and enjoyable lifestyle is within everyone’s reach. Her classes are accessible, dynamic, and supportive, focusing on strength, mobility, coordination, and body awareness.
She is certified in mat and Reformer Pilates by the Ann McMillan Pilates method. She is also a certified fitness instructor with YMCA Canada. In addition, she works as a freelance consultant in arts, culture, and social project management.
I am Isabelle, an Acadian from New Brunswick who moved to Montreal 10 years ago to pursue a master’s degree in social work.
I discovered Pilates on Reformer at Studio Équilibre in 2016, and I have remained loyal to this practice and this studio ever since. For me, Pilates is a true therapy for the body and mind, and I find this method incredibly regenerative. In the spring of 2024, I completed the Reformer training with Ann McMillan to immerse myself in the exciting world of teaching.
The path that led me to become an instructor was unexpected, but I can easily draw parallels between my approach to social work and my teaching. I deeply believe in Pilates’ ability to improve quality of life by meeting people where they are. My goal is to create a safe and inclusive space where everyone can find joy in movement and leave feeling strong and revitalized.
A STOTT Pilates graduate since 2016, specializing in reformer, Nicolas is passionate about postural analysis, considering Pilates to be the mathematics of movement.
A jack-of-all-trades when it comes to sports, Nicolas discovered Pilates more than ten years ago in France at the Studio Authentic Pilates in Metz, founded and run by his father, a former high-level athlete.
Involved in sports associations in Quebec, notably the Quebec Blind Sports Association, the Regroupement pour la trisomie 21, and AlterGo Montreal, Nicolas is convinced that Pilates contributes to individuals’ physical, mental, and social well-being. For him, health is not simply the absence of disease, but represents a complete state of well-being.

This led her to work with professional dance companies in the UK before spending over 10 years working worldwide with Cirque du Soleil.
Lisa is a qualified Pilates instructor with the Australian Institute of Physiotherapy and Pilates. Her experience in physiotherapy and rehabilitation complements her decade of experience in teaching exercise and Pilates.
Her experience as a physiotherapist gives her a deep understanding of human anatomy, injury prevention, and rehabilitation. She is passionate about health and wellness and loves helping others at any stage of life.
Virginie put on her first pink ballet shoes at the age of three at the studios of the Salle Pleyel in Paris. She started with classical ballet (Stanlova, Tessa Beaumont’s classes) before turning to modern jazz at the Jazz Dance Academy.
In her twenties, she assisted her godfather (a choreographer and dancer) by teaching jazz classes to teenagers and choreographing pieces for various shows.
She moved to Quebec at 27 to work with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal. Her role was to collaborate on the development of activities at the National Center for Dance Therapy.
Later, Virginie returned to her studies in bioethics at the School of Public Health at the University of Montreal. During her studies, she became a student again at various dance studios, including Studio Équilibre. Virginie discovered Patricia’s barre fitness classes, and it was love at first sight! She found the perfect opportunity to combine ballet training techniques and floor barre with muscle strengthening and work on coordination, mobility, flexibility… with a touch of grace! She then decided to teach this discipline. Attentive to her students, she emphasizes posture and movement precision, all while maintaining a cheerful atmosphere.
I discovered yoga during a long period of uncertainty in my life. Like an unexpected path, this discipline proved to be the ideal tool for taking necessary action on various problematic aspects of my life.
Meeting my teacher, Swami Premananda Saraswati, was a defining moment in my journey, and I will be eternally grateful to him.
I was trained in classical hatha yoga and introduced to the Himalayan tantra tradition. Inspired by the great tradition of master and student, it was mainly through him and his teachings that I practiced, deepened my knowledge, and evolved in the world of yoga.
In addition, I also studied meditation and philosophy at a Tibetan Buddhist school. Several years of diligent practice and over a thousand hours of specialized training in yoga and meditation have completely transformed me and led me on a journey that is far more enriching than I could ever have imagined.
I have been a Level 3 Pilates instructor and Level 1 Stretching Canada instructor for over sixteen years. I received my training at Polestar Pilates Studio Complete (floor, reformer, chair, Cadillac, tower, and barrel).
Several years ago, I suffered from chronic back pain, and it was my mother who one day told me about Pilates. She had already been practicing it for some time. I immediately fell in love with the method and its benefits.
Today, time has passed, and my passion for teaching Pilates is still alive and well. My goal for each class is to convey this passion with a touch of humor and lightheartedness.
Before I fell in love with Pilates, I earned a bachelor’s degree in visual arts from Concordia University. My interest in the arts is still present, and I occasionally accept illustration contracts.
Since 2007, yoga has been my silent guide. My journey began unexpectedly during my very first class, where I didn’t really understand what I was doing there. But amid this uncertainty, something lit up inside me—a spark, a feeling of well-being that I had never experienced before. This experience brought me back to the mat again and again, awakening a passion in me that has never left.
I began my training in 2020 and have had the privilege of teaching ever since. I am RYT500 certified and have studied with world-renowned teachers. My commitment to yoga is reinforced by continuing education, including degrees in advanced anatomy and physiology and the foundations of meditation.
I teach with a deep passion, guided by the desire to see my students flourish, both on and off the mat.
I have been a dance teacher for over 20 years (in France and Quebec), trained in floor barre (modern and classical), which I have been teaching for about 15 years.
I have also been a MUNZ FLOOR® coach certified by MAISON MUNZ since 2021, an innovative method known in Europe and which is beginning to develop in Quebec. The class takes place on the floor and consists of slow, spiral micro-movements that mobilize the cross chains and act as a “massage” on the fascia. The movements release muscle, nerve, and joint tension, and most participants feel a sense of well-being from the very first session.
Passionate about Pilates for over 10 years, Léna has found this practice to be a true source of physical and mental well-being. This passion naturally led her to train as a mat instructor, so she could share the many benefits of Pilates with others.
She is currently continuing her training with the Ann McMillan method to become a Reformer instructor, enriching her knowledge and refining her practice. Deeply convinced of the benefits of Pilates, Léna continues to perfect her expertise to explore all dimensions of this discipline and deepen its positive impacts on the body and mind.
A graduate of the dance program at Cégep Saint-Laurent, Audrey also holds a bachelor’s degree in contemporary dance from UQAM. Following her university studies, Audrey completed the Ann McMillan Pilates mat training program.
Her experience teaching Pilates and her personal practice, combined with her background in dance and her knowledge of the human body and health, allow her to continually develop her understanding of movement and her own way of moving.
Audrey will share her knowledge with you with passion and a smile.
Hannah Roirant discovered Essentrics in Montreal with our instructor Vicky Martel.
A dancer, performer, and dance teacher, Hannah adds another string to her bow with her Essentrics instructor certification.
She is now a young instructor who is committed to passing on her passion as she learned it. Knowledge is precious and must be shared!
Morgan Folkerson focuses on the art of pilates. Her classes will help one develop a greater appreciation for one’s body and improve overall strength. She places a strong emphasis on challenging oneself, while maintaining awareness of personal limitations.
She is an avid believer of the fact that mental wellness and physical wellness go hand in hand and focuses on creating a safe and welcoming space for all to explore their practice.
She aims to help improve your core alignment and develop a stronger mind-body connection in a fun and safe atmosphere for all.
It was in 2016, on the advice of a therapist, that I first encountered yoga. At that point in my life, I was suffering from numerous disorders and lower back pain due to a degenerative condition.
In 2019, when I arrived in Montreal, I walked into a studio and began practicing yoga regularly. I added multi-bar, a muscle strengthening technique based on physiotherapy rehabilitation exercises, to my practice, all while respecting optimal body alignment. In 2024, I took a turn in my career in project and team management to devote myself to wellness in general. I then trained to teach vinyasa yoga and multi-bar.
I am committed to providing a welcoming space where everyone can practice in accordance with their needs, desires, and limitations. I gently guide you and adapt to all profiles so that movement can be accessible to as many people as possible.
I have been practicing yoga for about eight years. I first discovered this discipline in Paris, in a tiny, overheated studio where the mats were tightly packed together. At the time, I didn’t yet know the full philosophy of yoga and practiced simply for the well-being it brought me.
When I arrived here in 2018, my practice deepened, and I began training to learn more about the world of yoga. Today, it is fully part of my daily life. I trained in Vinyasa Yoga in 2021 to deepen my knowledge, then in Yin and Nidra in 2023 to bring a gentler approach to my teaching. My classes combine movement fluidity, body and breath awareness, in creative flows that balance Yin and Yang.
Outside of yoga, I am trained in creating natural cosmetic products, and I am a certified aromatherapist. I offer workshops on product creation and advice on essential oils, which I sometimes like to include in my yoga classes.
